The Michigan Wolverines have been in the midst of a tough season which has placed a potential emphasis on coaching moving forward.
The Wolverines are currently 5-4 this season with games against Indiana, Northwestern, and Ohio State left this season. Michigan could likely finish 6-6 this season with a win over Northwestern and losses to the Buckeyes and the Hoosiers. Unless the Wolverines can defeat either of their ranked opponents, the fans will likely continue to become upset with the coaching staff and Sherrone Moore.

Head Coach Sherrone Moore entered his first season as the leader of the Michigan Wolverines and gave a starting chance to quarterback Davis Warren. After plenty of struggles from Warren, the real quarterback experiment began as the Wolverines have tried three quarterbacks and even gadget plays as well to move the football. Nothing has been truly effective for the team, with the barely breaking 20-points per game at this point.
Many Michigan Wolverines fans have grown upset with Moore not just because of the offensive struggles, but now because of desperate attempts to score. The Wolverines have almost tried to reinvent the wheel too much at this point, and many college football fans can see it. Against the Oregon Ducks, wide receiver Semaj Morgan attempted to throw a touchdown to quarterback Alex Orji, however the ball nearly sailed into the stands and Orji was trucked by a camera man.

The play not only highlighted the somewhat creative new attempts to score the Michigan Wolverines are utilizing, but also the struggles the Wolverines have had. Many Wolverines fans are upset with the play calling the staff has delivered, citing a bold trick play just ten-yards away from the end zone as one such play call.
Michigan Wolverines Fans Attack Coach Sherrone Moore Following Loss to Oregon Ducks

While the Michigan Wolverines never kept a very tight game against the Oregon Ducks, they also made plenty of head-scratching decisions that led to the loss.
Quarterbacks Davis Warren and Alex Orji were rotated in and out in a two quarterback system against the Ducks. Two quarterback systems rarely work, and the Wolverines are a great example of why since Orji rarely ever throws the football. The longest pass the quarterback has thrown this season was just 16-yards, along with an average of 3.2-yards per completion.
For comparison, if a quarterback always hands the ball off, the threat of him running is gone, and when Orji always runs the ball, the threat of him passing is gone. Warren looked solid and had some great moments against a strong defense, but also was not on the field during moments that would have made sense. For example, Warren could have spent the entire rest of the drive with the team in the red-zone to offer a passing threat, but rather was left on the bench.
If Sherrone Moore doesn’t say in his press conference addressing the red zone debacle “that was a complete failure by our coaching staff, starting with me” he shouldn’t be allowed to coach another game.

IU built a football team in a cave with a box of scraps.
Sherrone is the problem.

His choices were not good. That is a reflection on him.

What you wrote is true but he is the one that allowed Mullings to not get a touch until the 2nd quarter. That’s malpractice.

You can judge his horrendous play calling. His lack of rules knowledge. Him not challenging the first Oregon TD. New players won’t change that.
