After spending most of his career playing for the Baltimore Ravens and bounding around the league from there, Joe Flacco found himself playing for the Cleveland Browns last season. Among those who got to play with the former Super Bowl MVP was David Njoku.
With an 11-6 record to finish the regular season, the Browns placed second in the AFC North division. From there, they met the Houston Texans and lost to them in the wild card round in a blowout 45-14 game.
Throughout the entirety of last season, Cleveland started a total of five quarterbacks. These included Flacco, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Deshaun Watson, P.J. Walker, and Jeff Driskel. These five were the most number of quarterbacks who started in Browns history and the most by an NFL team since the 1986 New England Patriots.
In all of these games, Njoku had the best season of his career despite playing with multiple quarterbacks. By the end of the previous season, the tight end performed well in terms of touchdowns, yards, and receptions.

Flacco was signed by the Browns in November of last year after Deshaun Watson went down with a season-ending injury. David Njoku hilariously recounts his first encounter with the former Super Bowl MVP and the NFL Comeback Player of the Year for last season in a video posted by Dov Kleiman on X:

After their first meeting, Njoku’s perception about the former Baltimore Ravens star definitely changed. With Flacco onboard, the Cleveland Browns were able to secure a ticket to the playoffs after missing it the previous season.
At this point in time, Flacco is testing free agency after his contract with the Browns has ended. If he returns, expect the quarterback to keep playing well with Njoku.
