The Cleveland Browns have one of the best rosters in the NFL, but every team can still use upgrades. Matt Holder from Bleacher Report published an article titled NFL Teams To-Do List for the rest of the 2024 offseason, which states that the Browns need three critical areas.
1. Cleveland Browns Add An Outside Wide Receiver

The Browns got bad news last week when starting wide receiver Amari Cooper failed to show up to mini-camp due to holding out for a new contract. Cooper will likely play for the Browns this season, but the team still has issues in the receiver room, even with him on the roster. Even though they traded for Jerry Jeudy this offseason and Elijah Moore last year, they both have high upsides but have not proved it at the NFL level.
Here is what Holder had to say about the Browns adding an outside wide receiver.
While the Cleveland Browns have a good receiving corps with Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore, both Jeudy and Moore are better operating out of the slot. So, for all three wideouts to be on the field at once this season, one of the latter two has to line up in a spot where they’re less effective.
Adding another receiver who can consistently win on the outside would be a clever move, especially since David Njoku takes a good amount of snaps in the slot as well.
2. Extend Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah played pretty well on the scene two years ago. He then took a step back in 2022 before making himself one of the best linebackers in the NFL last season. Owusu-Koramoah is entering the last year of his deal, and the Browns need to do everything they can to give him a new contract. Here is what was said about the star linebacker.
Owusu-Koramoah is coming off a Pro Bowl campaign in which he proved to be a Swiss Army knife-type player, racking up two interceptions, six passes defended, 101 total tackles (20 for loss), and 3.5 sacks.
While the Notre Dame product has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career, he’s a valuable piece of the Browns’ defense, and the linebacker corps would be pretty destitute without him. Also, he doesn’t even turn 25 until November.
3. Sign A Left Tackle

Jedrick Wills Jr. has been underwhelming since being drafted in the Top 10 in 2020. He has been very inconsistent throughout his first four seasons, and now, heading into the last year of his contract, the Cleveland Browns could use a backup help to rival him in training camp.
Jedrick Wills Jr. hasn’t lived up to the billing as a top-10 pick and is coming off a season-ending injury.
Cleveland has Super Bowl aspirations and can’t afford to have a potential weak link at left tackle, especially in the tough NFC North.
Bringing in a veteran who can at least compete for the starting job and be a reliable backup would be a wise decision.
The good news is the Browns don’t have many needs like in years past, but it will be nice to see the team try to add another wide receiver and give Owusu-Koramoah the contract he deserves.
