Quarterback Cade Klubnik will be in the conversation as one of the best quarterbacks in the sport in 2025. If Klubnik performs well for Clemson, there is a chance that he and Dabo Swinney as back in the playoff field. There is also a chance that the Tigers quarterback can be in the Heisman Trophy race and also one of the top quarterbacks taken in the 2026 NFL Draft.
FOX Sports Rob Rang Has Clemson Tigers Quarterback Cade Klubnik As a Top 5 Pick In the 2026 NFL Draft

A lot of people have been firing up the 2026 NFL Mock drafts after the 2025 NFL Draft concluded. Fox Sports writer Rob Rang has the Tigers star quarterback as one of the top five picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. He has Klubnik going second overall to the New York Jets. He has the Cleveland Browns drafting number one overall and selecting Arch Manning from the Texas Longhorns.
Rang said about Klubnik going in the Top 5,
“A stark contrast to No. 1 overall pick Arch Manning, Klubnik enters his third season as Clemson’s full-time starter and on the heels of a sparkling 2024 campaign in which he completed 63.4% of his passes for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns against just six interceptions. While slightly shorter than scouts would prefer, Klubnik offers an exciting combination of improvisational skills, accuracy and athleticism. “
His QBR (quarterback rating) was 78.7 during the 2024 college football season. He also rushed for 463 yards on 119 carries and seven touchdowns, along with averaging 3.9 yards per carry. Klubnik has shown major progression from his sophomore to junior year. He only threw for 2,844 yards and 19 touchdowns during his sophomore year.
Klubnik can take another jump from his junior year to senior year. If that’s the case, then he will most likely be a top five pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. With Justin Fields being the New York Jets short-term quarterback, the Jets will look to find its long-term quarterback under head coach Aaron Glenn during the 2026 NFL Draft also.
