“Don’t Piss Down My Back” Donald Trump Just Severed Ties With Sports Businessman

Donald Trump hasn’t been shy of showing his face in the sports world.  Just over three months into his second Presidency he has attended multiple massive sporting events.

However, one sports businessman isn’t too happy with the Commander in Chief.

David Portnoy, founder and owner of Barstool Sports, ripped into President Donald Trump once again in a scathing “X” rant:

Dave Portnoy endorsed Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election over Democratic nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump emerged victorious by a surprisingly considerable margin, but Portnoy has quickly become disgruntled with his second tenure in office.

With the U.S. economy reaching historic lows, Trump took to Truth Social to blame his predecessor, Joe Biden. Trump advised Americans to “Be patient”, and that the economy will bounce back when tariffs take effect.

Dave Portnoy, however, isn’t buying what President Trump is trying to sell. The Barstool Sports boss said the stock market’s plunge falls directly on Trump and rejected the notion that it’s Biden’s fault.

What’s that old expression? Don’t piss down my back and tell me it’s raining? Well that applies here. The stock market is a direct reflection of Trumps 1st 100 days in office. Doesn’t mean it won’t get better and that we don’t need to be patient, but this is his market not Bidens pic.twitter.com/GVDCyL8NKH

Of course, Trump has never been one to admit his mistakes or take ownership of the problems he created. Biden did not start trade wars with Canada or Mexico or place tariffs on America’s trade partners.

Trump’s first 100 days in his second presidential term have been filled with controversies, to say the very least.

Aside from the trade wars and sinking U.S. economy, he faced significant criticism over his treatment of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during their White House meeting in February. The meeting ended without the two sides formally completing the Ukraine–United States Mineral Resources Agreement.

Meanwhile, Trump also continues to push for Canada to become the nation’s 51st state, something that wouldn’t happen in a million years.

Fans were quick to react to this outburst:

The comments here reflect the delusion of MAGA

Anything good is because of Trump

Anything bad is because of someone else

    — Logical Luminary (@ReasonUnchains) April 30, 2025

Dave, I hope you are now seeing what a charade all this MAGA 💩 really is.

    — Chris D. Jackson (@ChrisDJackson) April 30, 2025

You can’t change the stock market in 100 days. Come on man

    — Firebets (@FireFd42) April 30, 2025

It’s funny because in January, Trump called the stock market his own. Now it’s conveniently Biden’s?

Are his supporters really this gullable? pic.twitter.com/vCQrqGS4X7
