The Cincinnati Bengals are in the middle of a tight playoff race. With an 8-6 record with three games remaining, every win counts for the Bengals. Unfortunately, they will have to try to get one more win without one of their best offensive weapons.
Ja’Marr Chase Ruled Out vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
According to Ben Baby of ESPN, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor revealed that WR Ja’Marr Chase was ruled out for Week 16 against the Steelers. Chase suffered a shoulder injury during last week’s huge win over the Minnesota Vikings. The injury is serious enough to keep him out for at least one week.

What This Means for the Cincinnati Bengals
It means that they will have to try to win this critical game without their best wide receiver. Just how good has Chase been for the Bengals this season? In 14 games this season, Chase has 1,156 receiving yards and seven touchdown receptions.
This also likely means that WR Tee Higgins will have to step up. Higgins is coming off arguably his best game of the 2023 NFL season. Last week, Higgins had four receptions for 61 yards and two touchdown receptions. These numbers helped lead the Bengals to a huge comeback victory over the Vikings. Now, Cincinnati will hope that Higgins can lead them to another win in Week 16.
