The Cincinnati Bengals have had a tough few weeks in the middle of the season as a three-game losing streak has essentially ruined their season. Losses to the red-hot Houston Texans led by likely Offensive Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud, chief division rivals in the Baltimore Ravens and then another division rival in the Pittsburgh Steelers. No one around Cincinnati is enjoying football right now and that can be doubly said for their superstars.

Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback makes feelings known on Instagram
There isn’t real a counterargument to the statement that the Bengals simply aren’t the same team without superstar quarterback Joe Burrow. Burrow, who suffered a season ending injury in the aforementioned loss to the Baltimore Ravens, is clearly downtrodden over his inability to help the team through this stretch.
Burrow has been widely known as a tremendous leader of the Cincinnati Bengals team and has been known throughout his career as a player who would put the team on his back. Burrow and his elite receivers such as Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins have been huge reasons that the Bengals have made a quick turnaround from being the worst team in the NFL in 2019.
Next Steps for the Cincinnati Bengals and Joe Burrow
The superstar Cincinnati quarterback recently completed surgery on his right wrist. He sustained the injury in a freak accident against the Baltimore Ravens when his wrist tweaked on a routine throw to the end zone after being sacked the play before. Burrow is now in the recovery process and will look to make a comeback following the 2023 offseason.

The Bengals are currently trailing the Jacksonville Jaguars 14-7 on Monday Night Football. Backup quarterback Jake Browning will attempt to lead the Bengals with Andy Dalton-era backup A.J. McCarron waiting in the wings if the Bengals need a spark.
