Legendary Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman Tim Krumrie will be honored by the organization in 2024.
Along with Krumrie, legendary running back Corey Dillon will also be honored by the organization.
Tim Krumrie will be inducted into the Cincinnati Bengals’ Ring of Honor

Krumrie and Dillon will be a part of the fifth class of the Bengals’ Ring of Honor, which started in 2021. Cincinnati only inducts two former Bengals per year based on a vote by season-ticket holders.
They will join Ken Anderson, Willie Anderson, Paul Brown, Isaac Curtis, Ken Riley, Anthony Muñoz, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Boomer Esiason in the Bengals’ Ring of Honor.
Dillon and Krumrie are both the first players from their respective positions to be inducted into the Ring of Honor for the Bengals, implying that they were the best to play the position in a Bengals uniform.
Tim Krumrie exemplified the hard-nosed football of the NFL in the 1980s during his time with the Cincinnati Bengals

Krumrie, the 276th overall pick of the 1983 NFL Draft, started his career as a longshot. He would end up never missing a single non-strike game for the Cincinnati Bengals until he retired from the organization after the 1994 season.
Krumrie was a first-team All-Pro selection in 1988 and he had two Pro Bowl selections through his dozen-year career. According to Pro Football Reference, he has more career tackles than any other defensive tackle and he was the only defensive lineman to accrue over 600 tackles in the 1980s.
Krumrie noted that he was grateful that Cincinnati fans understood what he brought to the table in an article from the team’s website.
“That was the whole thing. Production,” Krumrie says. “And finally the good thing is everybody recognized it. Fans recognized the production.”
Toughness defined Krumrie’s tenure with the Bengals. During the lost Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers, he suffered a broken leg that easily could’ve ended his career.
Despite the career-threatening nature of the injury, he still managed to suit up for the Bengals for their opening day in 1989.
Congratulations to Tim Krumrie on making the Bengals Ring of Honor. Tim had a great career but this story on how he handled the broken leg in the Super Bowl is how legends are made. pic.twitter.com/c8ZApO1Ttm

Krumrie, who stayed loyal to the Bengals throughout his entire career unlike his fellow Ring of Honor classmate Corey Dillon, brought about a great deal of joy for Bengals fans when it was announced he would be honored by the organization.
Krumrie exemplified the hard-nosed nature of the team that brought them so close to a Super Bowl in the 80s. Along with his retirement and departure from the organization Krumrie took with him a lot of what made the Bengals so good in the 80s. After he left in 1994, they didn’t see another winning season until 2005.
I’m so pleased that my favorite Bengal, Tim Krumrie, is being honored. His relentless pursuit of excellence was the heart and soul of those Bengal defenses. https://t.co/Q9T0nTXd1H

So happy for Krumrie! Screw Corey Dillon. I am old enough to remember his Sh*t show. So many better deserving Bengals were jumped for him, and it’s sad.

Tim Krumrie’s career began with a story he and Mike Brown still laugh about.
