The Cincinnati Bengals currently have the eighth-most cap space in the league, with $61.5 million to work with. However, this does not mean Cincinnati won’t make any roster moves to free up cap space this offseason. For the Bengals to extend their big-name players, i.e., Ja’Marr Chase, Trey Hendrickson, Tee Higgins, and Mike Gesicki, they need as much cap space as possible for them to have a chance.
The front office made their first significant roster move one-and-a-half weeks ago, parting ways with Sheldon Rankins, freeing $9.6 million in cap space. Today, they made their second roster move, parting ways with a struggling offensive lineman.
