There won’t be any shortage of action when the Chicago Bears take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 1. These two teams own one of the fiercest rivalries in all of the NFL and a new chapter is about to unfold come September 10th when Chicago hosts their foes at Soldier Field.
Chicago Bears S Jaquan Brisker ‘Hates’ Packers
As if the rivalry wasn’t vicious enough, Bears safety Jaquan Brisker has now decided to add another layer to their upcoming war. The 24-year-old did not hold back in sharing his true feelings about the Packers:
“I’m waiting. I’m itching,” Brisker said (h/t Daniel Greenber of Wrigley Sports). “It’s Packers week so I know it’s gonna be loud in the stadium. The fans everywhere, it’s gonna be loud. People hate Green Bay. I hate Green Bay. I can’t wait. They didn’t get to see me last year, they gone get to see me this year, though.”

Talk about putting a target on your back. Packers fans are definitely going to hear about this, and you can be sure that Brisker has now started his campaign for Public Enemy No. 1 in Green Bay.
Chicago fans will love this, though. This is exactly the type of savagery supporters want to hear from their players, especially when they’re about to face their biggest rival in a few days’ time. Sometimes, the pleasantries just don’t cut it anymore.
Jaquan Brisker Missed Packers Game Last Season
Brisker saw his promising rookie campaign come to a bitter end last season when he suffered a concussion against the Detroit Lions in early December. It was a season-ending injury for the Chicago safety, which is why he was unable to suit up against Green Bay later that month.
Brisker is clearly still rueing that missed opportunity last season, and he now fully intends to make up for lost time come September 10th.
