Chicago Bears cornerback Kyler Gordon is one of many NFC North defenders who is thankful that Aaron Rodgers is no longer in the division. Gordon was asked about what he thought about new Packers quarterback Jordan Love. He threw some major shade at the young quarterback.
Bears Cornerback Kyler Gordon Throws Shade At Jordan Love
Love doesn’t seem to be on the radar of Gordon. “He’s a young QB. I don’t really have much to say about him, to be honest.” While this may seem like a nothing comment, it makes it sound like he is uninterested in what Love can bring to the team. He is dismissing the fact that he is a threat at all. Ahead of the week 1 matchup, the Bears are hoping to flip the script on the Packers in 2023. They have been dominated by their rivals in the past decade and are looking to start their own era of dominance.
Careful When Poking The Bear
I would be careful in giving Love any motivation heading into the regular season. The Bears roster is by no means perfect and if Love comes in and carves them up, I’m sure he will say something about this comment in the postgame. In defense of Gordon, Love is a young quarterback and most likely not the main focus of the gameplan. The running game with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon as well as the speed of Christian Watson are probably more pressing matters.
Kyler Gordon will get his first chance to get the best of Jordan Love in under two weeks. For Bears fans, they are hoping that this is the start of a new era and not more of the same.
