Chicago Bears Corner Jaylon Johnson: NFL Career
Jaylon Johnson, the 50th overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors for the Utah Utes in 2018 and 2019. The six-foot CB played well as a rookie for the Chicago Bears, collecting 44 tackles and 15 passes defended, including three in the season opener. He became the Bears top CB option in 2021 and snagged his first interception in the second game of the season, picking off star quarterback Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Johnson’s reputation as a lockdown CB has carried into 2023, with the 24-year-old tallying two interceptions and four passes defended in six games this season. The star cornerback has graded out as one of the better coverage players in the NFL since his debut in 2020, per PFF.
