Former Las Vegas Raiders pass rusher Chandler Jones has been arrested once again for domestic violence. Jones was booked on a charge of violating a domestic violence temporary protection order and remained behind bars as of Wednesday morning. Jones has been making headlines after he was arrested the first time around, which caused the Raiders to release the former star pass rusher. Dov Kleiman, an NFL insider reported this news via Twitter

Chandler Jones Arrest
Jones’ previous arrest was on September 29 for the same charge. Las Vegas released the former pass rusher shortly after, however, he had not played a game for the team this season after he went on the non-football illness list. His odd behavior has been posted all over social media since it was reported that Jones was dealing with this illness. The team did not originally give any further elaboration on his absence, saying that it was due to personal reasons. People close to Jones have not said much of anything either.
The former pass rusher is a former first-round pick of the New England Patriots when he got drafted back in 2012. He played for the Patriots until 2016 when he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals for guard Jonathan Cooper and a 2016 second-round pick. He was then franchised tagged by Arizona before they signed him to a five-year, $82.5 million deal.
Chandler Jones Career
In his career, Jones has amounted to 511 total tackles, 112 sacks, 34 forced fumbles, 13 fumble recoveries, and 30 pass deflections. He was brought over to Las Vegas to compliment their other star pass rusher, Maxx Crosby. In 2022, he went for 36 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and even a touchdown.
The continuation of Jones’ issues has brought disappointment to the NFL world, especially Raiders fans. He has been a dominant force since entering the league and has since thrown all of that away. If he kept up the pace he was on, there is a good chance that he could have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. However, that is not the case anymore as he remains behind bars.
