Texas Longhorns Fans Looking For Revenge In Next Matchup Against the Georgia Bulldogs

Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed (10) loses control of the ball after a tackle by Texas Longhorns defensive back Michael Taaffe (16) during the Lone Star Showdown at Kyle Field on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024 in College Station, Texas.

In the last matchup between the Longhorns and the Bulldogs, Texas lost at home against Georgia by a final score of 30-15. The Georgia Bulldogs dominated the Texas Longhorns from start to finish in the last meeting. The Longhorns fanbase hopes that the team can do better in the next matchup with the Bulldogs.

Here is what some of the Texas fans said on Twitter ahead of the SEC Championship Game:

Big game. Chance at redemption for the Longhorns!🤘

Go horns…..awaiting you in Atlanta is a chance at the SEC championship chance and possibly another shot at enjoying tasty little UgA snack.

Do I think the longhorns can beat anyone in the country, absolutely. The talent level is there however are they going to b better prepared, come out with grit and heart, I believe they will. This team is hungry for national championship.

Graduate of UT and I literally bleed orange. I get sick when we lose to A&M and OU.

But if we can’t beat them this time, we don’t deserve to be in the natty. Sorry. I don’t want it if we can’t beat GA.

    — Cason Romano (@Casotakar1337) December 2, 2024

It will be interesting to see if the Longhorns can play better this time against the Bulldogs compared to the last meeting. Quinn Ewers and Carson Beck both did not play well in the last game.

Number 1 Seed On the Line Potentially

Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers (3) celebrates the 17-7 win over Texas A&M in the Lone Star Showdown at Kyle Field on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024 in College Station, Texas.

The winner of the Texas Longhorns and Georgia Bulldogs game will get a first-round bye, but if the Penn State Nittany Lions beat the Oregon Ducks in the BIG10 Championship Game, there is a chance that either Texas or Georgia could get the number one seed in the expanded college football playoffs.

A lot can play out during this upcoming college football weekend. The SEC Championship Game could be the biggest game on the schedule this weekend between the Bulldogs and the Longhorns.
