With the Las Vegas Raiders getting their first win in week 4, they prepare for a Monday night showdown against division rivals Kansas City Chiefs. Vegas, as the underdogs, look to upend their rivals in Kansas City. Las Vegas still has good offensive weapons but is held back by bad coaching. Another take that could hurt Vegas’ chances of winning is their defense underachieving this year. Vegas also has a bad history against the Chiefs, only winning one of six in the last three years. Kansas City has the weapons to make this game a blowout, but Vegas will do a lot right to win.
Las Vegas Offensive Bold Gamble
The Las Vegas Raiders enter into week 5 with a 1-3 record against the Kansas City Chiefs with a decent offense. Last week Josh Jacobs had a great game with 115 rushing yards in the win against the Broncos. The Raiders offense also still has Derek Carr, who is still a good QB, even with a weak season. Even with Josh McDaniels not being a good coach with failed playcalling, the team with the talents of Carr, Jacobs, Davante Adams, and so much more in the offense can carry the team to a victory.
Can The Defense Survive
The Las Vegas Raiders also can have a stout defense like last week against Denver. Even though the Raiders’ defense ranked below the top 20, they can still do their best to win. Las Vegas, with two outstanding edge rushers, Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones, would do their best to stop Patrick Mahomes. Las Vegas must hold down the Chiefs’ passing game to win this crucial game. The Raiders against the Chiefs, even with a weak defense, will need to do everything right to win.
Can They Win It?
Being the underdogs, Kansas City has the weapons to make this game a blowout victory, but Vegas will do a lot right to win. The offense must repeat their dominant rushing performances against the Chiefs’ defense. Along with the offense, the defense must also perform well to win against a dominant Mahomes and company. With Kansas City being the heavy favorites, the Raiders can turn those odds around to save their season.
