The Buffalo Bills were thought of as a real contender this past season, and while they had an up and down year, many thought that the 2023 season was there chance to get to the Super Bowl. Fast forward to this week, and the team lost another of their top players in Stefon Diggs. Diggs is just the latest star to be leaving the Bills.

Buffalo Bills Lose Everyone This Offseason

Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer (21) and cornerback Tre’Davious White (27) collide over Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (85) as they cover a deep pass in the fourth quarter of the NFL divisional playoff football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills news, Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023, at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y. The Bengals won 27-10 to advance to the AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

In this off season alone, the team has lost 6 of their incredibly impactful players all over the field. The team lost both their top two receivers in Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs, in addition to their top defenders in the secondary. Both Jordan Poyer and Tre’Davious White are no longer with the team as well.

This Bills team is in a rebuild, and while they have one of the best quarterbacks in the league, they will have to fight just to get into the playoffs. The team also lost Mitch Morris and Leonard Floyd as well, and they will not be able to fill all these voids in just the draft alone.

It is sad to see a team that was so close to the promised land for almost half a decade, come crumbling down this off season. While teams have lost some of their important players and come back the nest season competing, this Bills team has lost a historic amount of players that were key to their success.

Will The Buffalo Bills Be Able To Compete For A Super Bowl?

The short answer is absolutely not. This team had come very close to being able to take down Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, but they were never able to get over that hump. Playing them home and away in the playoffs the result was the same.

Now, with losing six of their most important players in just a few weeks, that mountain just looks impossible to climb. Not to mention that there are many AFC teams that have been steadily growing the last few seasons. The Bills will not just have to overcome the Chiefs but the Bengals and Texans will be quite strong as well.

Not to mention that Aaron Rodgers is in the AFC East as well as a very feisty Miami Dolphins team. While we cannot officially say that the window is closed for Josh Allen, we can almost certainly say that the window is closed for this upcoming year.
