Buffalo Bills are looking to add cap space
The Buffalo Bills have taken severe cap-cutting measures this week before the free agency signing period. They recently reworked Stefon Diggs’ deal, per multiple reports. The Bills are set to let a few critical pieces of their once vaunted defense walk to new teams. The Chicago Bears agreed to terms with Pro Bowl linebacker Tremaine Edmunds on Monday.
The Bills also announced a running back Nyhiem Hines would be taking a pay cut next season. According to Field Yates with ESPN, the Bills saved even more cap on the eve of free agency signing. They converted Diggs’ base salary into a bonus. The move will generate an extra $5.4 million in cap.

The Bills are under the cap limit but still have slim margins of cap space. According to Over The Cap, the Bills have about $14 million in cap available before the free agency signing period.
