Taylor Rapp signed a 1-year contract last offseason
Buffalo signed Rapp to a 1-year, $1.77 million contract last offseason.
Rapp appeared in 16 games and started four, recording 50 tackles, one for a loss, 0.5 sacks, one interception, and two pass deflections, representing 42% of defensive snaps. He allowed 11 receptions on 18 targets for 161 yards, one touchdown, and an 85.6 passer rating.
Rapp missed the Wild Card and the Divisional Round because of a calf injury.
The defensive back position will look different next season
The defensive back position will look different next season as the team released Tre’Davious White, Jordan Poyer, and Siran Neal.
Micah Hyde, Dane Jackson, and Cam Lewis are unrestricted free agents.
This leaves the defensive back room to Rasul Douglas, Taron Johnson, Christian Benford, Kaiir Elam, Taylor Rapp, Damar Hamlin, Ja’Marcus Ingram, Kendall Williamson, and Kyron Brown.
Expect more roster moves in the coming days
With all of these roster moves, Buffalo is still over the cap and is $7.6 million over. They must be salary cap compliant by the start of the league’s new year.
Players who could be restructured include Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Dawson Knox, and Taron Johnson, to name a few.
Who will be on the Buffalo Bills’ defense next season?
