Browns’ Rookie Perrion Winfrey Meditates for a Crazy Reason

If there is one thing that Browns’ rookie Perrion Winfrey always has, it’s energy. He shows that energy to Browns fans in different ways, but it’s usually him barking. He’s even done it on his Instagram Live before.

Now, all of this is a part of what is called Winfrey’s “dawg mentality.” And then, Winfrey had this memorable quote on how he became a “dawg.”

“That is why I was born into being a dawg because my parents were already dawgs when I was conceived. That is why I play the game the way I play the game.”

But recently, Winfrey said that he is turning his bark into bite through meditation.

In the video, Winfrey did say he toned the barking down a little bit, but he is ready to bring it back once the season starts up.

“Like Joe Woods always tells us our mantra is ‘All bite, no bark.’ So I don’t feel like there’s no need to be continuously barking or continuously talking. I feel like once the season comes and I start to bring that juice back and start to make plays on the field, that’s when I’ll be back to doing all the antics. Right now I’m just head down, just working, trying to be the best player I can be every day.”

But, meditation isn’t the only thing that he is doing to get hyped up. Winfrey has also said that he listens to rap music for an energy boost.

“I probably start off with a lot of rap music. An hour before the game, I go into R&B, like Ray Charles or something, just to get me mellowed out and calm. Just before we go out, I start to listen to rap music again. My favorite artist right now is Lil Baby. I don’t have a favorite song right now. He’s got too many good ones.”

This is something that has been really fun for Browns fans to see. If this is the way Winfrey wanted to get the fans on his side, he’s doing a really good job of it.
