Joe Woods Should be Gone
Somehow Joe Woods still has a job. Last Sunday was laughable and painful for Cleveland Browns fans. The Browns defensive issues are not from a lack of skill. But, the Browns defense continues to underperform under the calling of Joe Woods. This past week, Browns fell against the Falcons and the coaching staff is to blame. The defense being set to defend the pass when the offense has only ran is doomed from the start. The Browns coaches failed their players and fans. Changes are needed for the Browns defense to get back on track. Especially with the offenses the Browns will face in upcoming weeks.
Stefanski Play Calls Hinders Offense vs. Falcons
Not all the blame belongs to head coach Kevin Stefanski. But, he does deserve a portion of it. There were a lot of questionable calls during the game by Stefanski. Normally, Stefanski keeps things simple and has the offense running smoothly. But against Atlanta, there were plays in every drive that made fans question calls. Some drives momentum was kill by these calls. Can’t completely blame Stefanski though for taking chances. There just need more forms of consistency to keep momentum on drives up.
Ending on a Good Note
Although the game was a heartbreaker for Browns fans, there was still good on the day. Nick Chubb’s return to Georgia had to be a special moment for him. Chubb had a big game as well. Chubb rushed 19 times for 118 yards and a touchdown against the Falcons which has a top run defense. Nick Chubb had the opportunity to do this in front of his family and high school team which has to make the moment more special.
