The Cleveland Browns sport one of the best offensive lines in football and one of the biggest reasons is the excellent play from Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller at guard. Cleveland has already lost one of their key offensive linemen this season when left tackle Jedrick Wills went down last week with a season ending knee injury. It looks like things are only going to get tougher for Cleveland moving forward.
Browns Guard Joel Bitonio left Game against Bears
Bitonio has been one of Cleveland’s most important players over the past few seasons as he has established himself as one of the best guards in the NFL. While the position may be undervalued as a whole. the guard position is absolute essential for the run game and stuffing pass rushing defensive tackles.
On a second down play in the second quarter, Cleveland had a nice gain to get to third-and-two. After they broke the huddle, their all-pro guard went down to a knee and would need assistance from the medical staff to get off the field.
Bitonio has been first team all-pro in back-to-back seasons and is a huge reason that the offense has been as effective as it is. Cleveland desperately needs him back to maintain their momentum as backup guard Michael Dunn fills in for him in his absence. No additional information has been provided regarding his injury status but it was announced that he would not return against the bears.
