The Eagles’ defensive coordinator search has finally come to an end as Sean Desai has officially been hired per Seahawks’ head coach Pete Carroll.

Desai, who coached as an assistant head coach on Seattle’s staff in 2022, is headed to Philadelphia after two visits in the last week. He was formerly a defensive coordinator in Chicago in 2021.
Desai replaces Jonathan Gannon, who left Philadelphia soon after the Super Bowl for the head coaching job in Arizona.
Pete Carroll broke the news to Seattle reporters, confirming the hiring of his former assistant. The news comes just hours after Philadelphia promoted quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson to become their new offensive coordinator. Both positions are now officially filled.
