New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley has officially been ruled out of the Monday Night Football matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Barkley suffered an ankle sprain in the Giants’ week two win over the Arizona Cardinals and has been sidelined ever since. He will not be a participant for the Giants once again tonight as he continues to recover.

Saquon Barkley’s 2023
Saquon Barkley was off to a decent start this season rushing for 114 yards and a touchdown. He also has 41 yards receiving in 2023, bringing the Giants some versatility to their offensive scheme. The star running back has suffered many gruesome injuries throughout his career causing him to miss significant time in many of his seasons as the starter.
This news is not what New York Giants fans wanted to hear just before kickoff tonight. They have missed Barkley these last couple of weeks after losing both of their matchups without the star running back in the lineup.
Injury Status
This injury is an ongoing recovery for Saquon, and he will continue to progress as he aims to be back in the starting lineup in week five when the Giants face off against the high-powered Miami Dolphins. They also have a tough schedule ahead of them, playing teams like the Buffalo Bills and their NFC East foes in the Washington Commanders in their next couple of games.
We will keep you updated on Saquon Barkley’s injury status as the week progresses, but he is officially inactive for tonight’s matchup.
