In week two, Cleveland Browns’ star running back Nick Chubb suffered a gruesome injury to his left knee, which caused him to be out for the remainder of the 2023 season. A new update has come out confirming his exact injury and an estimated timetable to return to the field. Chubb apparently only suffered a torn MCL, which is not good but much better than everyone anticipated. His projected pre-surgery recovery time is six to eight months.

Sigh of Relief for Nick Chubb
What many thought may be a career-ending injury is not as serious as most fans and analysts thought. The report is that the Browns’ star had his ACL stretched on the play and not torn. More tests are to come following his surgery this week and multiple sources are optimistic that more damage will not be found.
Chubb’s Replacement
The loss of Nick Chubb is detrimental to Cleveland, but the Browns have went out and found his replacement for the year in Kareem Hunt. Hunt is very familiar with the Browns’ offensive scheme since he previously was apart of the team, so the adjustment should be smoother than anticipated. The Browns also have Jerome Ford to compliment Hunt in the backfield, which some bring some versatility to the run game.
Motivation for the Season
The Cleveland Browns obviously felt the impact of the absence of Nick Chubb after losing to their AFC North rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football. A Browns official said that the team went through a “grieving period” this week, and now their focus is on getting the win against the Tennessee Titans this week for their injured star and not let him down.
