The New York Giants have signed quarterback Tommy DeVito to their active roster. DeVito played in the Giants’ week eight loss against the New York Jets and did not produce any stats the entire game. This news comes from NFL analyst and insider Adam Schefter via Twitter.

Tommy Devito
The quarterback had negative one yards in Sunday’s game and did not look good at all. He came in for the injured Tyrod Taylor who was in for the injured Daniel Jones. New York has had issues in all parts of their team, offense, defense, and coaching. The main issue with the offense other than the horrific offensive line is the quarterback position.
Jones is the starter for the team, however, he has not played since he suffered an injury in the loss against the Miami Dolphins. Since then, it has been the backup Taylor who has been under center. However, the backup quarterback was injured in last week’s loss and was taken to the hospital, forcing the Giants to put in DeVito at quarterback.
New York Giants’ Struggles
New York is currently sitting in last place in the NFC East with a 2-6 record. The team had such high hopes coming into this season after winning a playoff game just last year. It has been a terrible season so far for them, though, and it does not look like they are going to amount to anything this season besides a good draft position.
It looks like the Giants have decided to roll with DeVito as the starter for next week’s matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. If he plays anything like he did this past week, New York is going to have a long game on Sunday.
