A Giants Starter was injured Thursday

A New York Giants starter will have some adversity to overcome this week before Sunday’s Wild Card game. The Giants were preparing to play the Minnesota Vikings for their first postseason appearance since 2016. The 9-7-1 Giants were +140 underdogs as of Friday morning before they head to Minneapolis to play the Vikings. A new injury won’t help their cause.

According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, Giants offensive tackle, Evan Neal sustained an ankle injury on Thursday during practice. Fortunately for the Giants, Neal’s injury is minor, and he should be able to play Sunday. However, the injury did impede Neal’s ability to practice this week. He was limited on Thursday.

#Giants OT Evan Neal suffered an ankle injury in Thursday’s practice that is considered minor, source said, and should not affect his ability to play this week against the #Vikings. He was listed as limited.

The Giants need their squad to be as healthy as possible before they play the NFC North champions. The Giants have yet to win a playoff game since they won the Super Bowl in 2012. We’ll see if Neal can have a full practice on Friday.
