The 2024 NFL playoffs are underway. So far, there have been some exciting games in the wild card round, including one huge upset. However, there was one concern moving forward.
That concern was how the divisional round schedule would be impacted due to the postponement of the Buffalo Bills vs. Pittsburgh Steelers wild card game. So, what does the divisional round schedule look like? Let’s take a look.
Locked NFC Games
There are two games that are locked into their timeslots. Those would be the NFC divisional games. On Saturday night at 8 p.m. EST, the Green Bay Packers will go on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers. Then, the winner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Philadelphia Eagles wild card game will then go on the road to face the Detroit Lions in their second home playoff game in 30 years.
Possible AFC Games
Because the Bills and Steelers did need to play, next week’s AFC games are very much up in the air. However, there are two possible scenarios that can play out. Let’s go over them both.
If the Bills win tomorrow, then they will host the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday at 6:30 p.m. EST. Before that, the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens would kick off the divisional round on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. EST.
What about if the Steelers win? They would take the Sunday slot mentioned above and face the Ravens. Then, Houston would go to Kansas City and play in the Saturday afternoon slot mentioned above. Hopefully, there will be no further postponements in Buffalo.
