New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has been in many rumors this season regarding his job being in jeopardy with the franchise. New England is now 2-8 after their loss this past week against the Indianapolis Colts, and the rumors about Belichick walking away have been heating up. An ESPN analyst said that he heard that the storied head coach will join a new team in 2024.

RUMORS: ESPN's Dan Orlovsky says he heard #Patriots Bill Belichick will take over as HC/GM for a different NFL team next year.

Says the location has already been determined🤯

Dan isn't a reporter, but he clearly said he "Heard that."

It was reported over the weekend that sources close to the Patriots’ organization said that Belichick and the team would be mutually parting ways by the end of the season. According to ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky, he has heard supporting rumors about Belichick in the last week.

“I’ve heard more and more of that over the past week. I’m not a reporter, all that stuff, but I have heard that,” Orlovsky said on “The Pat McAfee Show.” He repeated that it was just rumors and that he could not be certain about the situation in New England, but it is certainly something to take note of as the rumors continue.

    New England Patriots Struggles

McAfee asked Orlovsky which team he had heard Belichick could potentially be going to, which Orlovsky responded with “I’m not giving… I’ve just heard that.” The likelihood of this going down is still unknown, but it seems like a real possibility amid the struggles the team is currently going through.

New England sits in last place in the AFC East with a 2-8 record, something nobody saw coming during Belichick’s career as a head coach. The team is entering their bye week this week, so if they are going to make sudden changes, this would be the time frame to do so. They will be on the road in week 12 against the New York Giants, who have had their fair share of struggles this season. The Belichick rumors are getting hot, so we will see what transpires in the coming weeks.
