The Baltimore Ravens are off to a 0-2 start to the 2024-2025 season. There is a chance that the Ravens drop to 0-3 after the Dallas Cowboys game on Sunday. Quite often, the Cowboys scout players from the Texas Longhorns.
There is a chance that Baltimore could draft high in the 2025 NFL Draft if they continue to slide. They were just in the AFC Championship Game a season ago against the Kansas City Chiefs. Baltimore was the number-one seed last season.
Latest NFL Mock Draft Has the Baltimore Ravens Wide Receiver Isaiah Bond In the 2025 NFL Draft
CBS Sports Chris Trapasso created another NFL Mock Draft for the 2025 season. He has the Baltimore Ravens selecting 26th overall despite the 0-2 start to the season. With the pick, he has the Ravens selecting Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond. Trapasson said about the Ravens making this selection:
“Bond’s been a big-play waiting to happen to start the 2024 season at Texas. He’ll be another smaller and speedy weapon for Lamar Jackson in Baltimore.”
The Ravens have been hit or miss with drafting wide receivers over the years. In the past, they have drafted Zay Flowers from Boston College and Rashon Bateman from Minnesota. Those wide receivers have not been true number-one wide receiver options for the Baltimore Ravens.
So far this season with the Texas Longhorns, Isaiah Bond has already caught 13 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns, along with averaging 16.5 yards per catch. He has also rushed for 25 yards on one carry. Bond is one of the reasons why Texas has a dangerous offense. He is catching passes from Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning also.
Other Texas Longhorns Receivers Drafted Last Year
Three Texas Longhorns wide receivers were drafted a season ago. Xavier Worthy was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round, Adonai Mitchell was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round, and Jordan Whittington was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the sixth round.
Isaiah Bond could very well be the latest Longhorns wide receiver who will be taken in the 2025 NFL Draft. He is a junior this season with Texas. Bond could very well go over 1,000 yards receiving by the end of the 2024 college football season with the Texas Longhorns and this would be an interesting selection for the Baltimore Ravens.
