The Baltimore Ravens are one win away from punching their ticket to Super Bowl LVIII. However, to get there, they must topple an NFL juggernaut, the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have won the AFC West every season since 2016, making the Super Bowl thrice and winning twice. Meanwhile, under quarterback Lamar Jackson, Baltimore will play in their first AFC Conference Championship during his tenure. Jackson spoke about his team’s upcoming opponent on Wednesday, saying they are preparing for the battle ahead.
Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson: Ready to Take Down Elite AFC Opponent
Jackson spoke to the media on Wednesday, and when asked about the team’s approach to Sunday’s clash, he said, “We can’t overshadow what’s in front of us right now, not at all. Those guys are former Super Bowl Champions. To be a champion, you gotta go through a champion. That’s pretty much the mindset.”

The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl last season, beating the Philadelphia Eagles in a 38-35 thriller. Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes is 13-3 in his postseason career, including two Super Bowl victories. He has thrown for 477 yards and three touchdowns against no picks in this year’s postseason.
The Chiefs have used a different formula to win football games this season. Kansas City scored 21.8 points per game in the regular season, the 15th-best average in the NFL. However, they allow just 17.3 points per game, the second lowest in the league. They house one of the best secondaries, allowing just 4.9 net yards per pass during the regular season.
Baltimore Ravens: Eyeing First Super Bowl Appearance since 2012
With a win on Sunday, the Ravens will return to the Super Bowl for the first time in over a decade. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has primarily struggled during the postseason, posting an abysmal 75.7 quarterback rating. However, he played phenomenally well in his last playoff outing, a win over the Houston Texans last Sunday. The Louisville product went 16 of 22 for 152 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 100 yards and a pair of scores via the ground.
