It seems as if this Wild Card matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles has been hit by almost daily injury updates. First DeVonta Smith said he was playing, then AJ Brown was ruled out.
Amidst all of this, the statuses of both quarterbacks, Baker Mayfield and Jalen Hurts, have both remained in question. Mayfield was earlier today listed as questionable, whilst Hurts’ knee injury has not hindered him enough to keep him out of Monday night’s contest.
Now, after the ‘questionable’ designation, it seems that Mayfield’s expected playing status has been revealed, per Jeff Howe.
Bucs QB Baker Mayfield, who is listed as questionable with ankle and ribs injuries, is expected to play Monday against the Eagles, per source.

Baker Mayfield To Start For The Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield has had a good, solid, if not special year. Under the tutelage of new offensive coordinator and potential future head coaching candidate, Dave Canales, he has turned back into the best version of Baker that we saw in years 1 & 3 at the Cleveland Browns.
This year Mayfield has thrown for 4044 yards, 28 TDs and 10 picks with a 64.3 completion percentage, all good for an above average 94.6 passer rating.
However, it remains to be seen whether the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have seen enough to stick with Mayfield to be their quarterback of the future, especially considering the noticeably higher compensation he would command compared to, say, a rookie.
Whatever decision the Bucs take after the season will likely hinge on if Mayfield is able to overcome the 11-6 Philadelphia Eagles at Raymond James Stadium, the Eagles are 3 point favorites.
