The Pittsburgh Steelers managed to add Russell Wilson as their new quarterback, which means that Mason Rudolph’s days with the Black and Gold are soon to be over. Before bringing in Wilson, there was plenty of talk this offseason about Rudolph competing with Kenny Pickett for the starting quarterback position. However, Pittsburgh ultimately went in a different direction, as the opportunity presented itself when the Denver Broncos cut Russell Wilson and his mammoth contract. “Mason Rudolph’s people met with the Steelers today, and we know how that went. Never say never, but something crazy would have to happen for Rudolph…

The San Francisco 49ers don’t have to look far if they plan on strengthening their linebacker room this summer, as it was suggested that the team should go after one of the star free agents of their division rivals. Bobby Wagner is coming off a career year. And because he’ll turn 34 in June, the Seattle Seahawks will find it hard to justify tying him down to a new extension. With Dre Greenlaw sidelined at least through the beginning of the 2024 season, it was strongly suggested that the San Francisco 49ers should consider acquiring Wagner, who is expected to…

The Washington Commanders have been particularly busy on the first day of the 2024 NFL free agency period as they continue to retool their roster around their new head coach, Dan Quinn. But while they’ve already signed three key free agents as of this writing, they’re in danger of losing one of their own, as their defensive back, Kamren Curl, posted two tweets that seemingly alluded to the status of his future in the nation’s capital. In back-to-back tweets last week, Curl posted the “peace out” and the “laughing” emojis. Per Spotrac, the Arkansas product was projected to get a…

On top of having their sights set on picking Marvin Harrison Jr. in the 2024 NFL Draft with the No. 4 pick, Arizona managed to keep Greg Dortch by tendering a qualifying offer, and now they’re looking to get a similar deal done to keep one of their free agent wideouts. Michael Penix Jr. has seen his stock improve after putting on a show at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. In the latest draft rankings released by Daniel Jeremiah, the Washington signal-caller moved five spots up, making him the 33rd-best prospect ahead of this summer. “Penix has exceptional arm strength and toughness. The Washington Commanders have a pressing need at quarterback, and their former head coach, Ron Rivera, chimed in on who they should get with the No. 2 pick of this summer’s NFL Draft. When ESPN’s Adam Schefter questioned Rivera on NFL Live on Wednesday, he mentioned Jayden Daniels, who just finished a fantastic season at LSU, as the player the Washington Commanders should draft. “Well, Jayden Daniels, because everybody expects Caleb Williams to go first,” said Rivera. “So to me, if this is the style of offense you’re going to have, you’ve got to have that type of quarterback.” Ron Rivera’s take is based on the style of football the Washington Commanders will play under their new offensive coordinator, Kliff Kingsbury. He said Kingsbury needs a mobile quarterback, so…

An opportunity has opened up for the Green Bay Packers to fortify their secondary after the New York Giants decided against using the franchise tag on Xavier McKinney, who is set to hit free agency this offseason. Xavier McKinney is linked with a transfer to Green Bay since he expressed interest in potentially doing so. And with Darnell Savage’s future in Wisconsin unclear, McKinney could theoretically fill his shoes. “A three-year starter after being selected in the second round of the 2020 draft, McKinney becomes the top target for teams needing help at safety, such as the Packers,” wrote Ryan…

ESPN NFL analyst Louis Riddick roasted the New York Giants for how they treated Daniel Jones throughout his stay after Rich Eisen commented that the team is “absolutely done” with their starting quarterback. Riddick, who played 10 years in the NFL as a safety, said that while he is not a fan of Daniel Jones, he believes that the New York Giants failed their former first-round pick. “Isn’t that amazing, how stuff can turn on its head? And you wonder why the Giants haven’t been able to make some headway in the (NFC) East and be true contenders? Because when…

Cam Newton was candid about his short stint with the New England Patriots during his recent appearance with The Big Podcast with Shaq, presented by Playmaker HQ. During the podcast episode, the 2015 NFL MVP admitted he had regrets about his one-season stay at Foxborough. One was that they were playing home games without fans in the stands due to COVID-19, and the other was that he somehow took Bill Belichick, his coach at the time, for granted. “Love that whole experience. Bill Belichick is a legend. And I downplayed his presence. I downplayed the Patriots way. That was…
