Former Kansas City Chiefs QB Len Dawson, who helped KC win its first Super Bowl in 1970 and played against the Green Bay Packers in the first big game passed away yesterday at age 87. Beginnings Dawson started his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1957, still long before Pittsburgh would become its dominant self in the 1970s. The first two years in the Burgh weren’t great for Dawson- only playing a combined 7 games in 1957 and 1958. In 1959, he played in 12 games, but that would end up being his last playing season in the Steel City.…

The 2021 national champion Georgia Bulldogs ate up 7 of the 100 spots on ESPN’s list of the top 100 college football players for 2022. The Kansas City Chiefs added another piece to their defensive line, signing journeyman defensive tackle Danny Shelton to a 1-year contract on Wednesday for an undisclosed amount. Shelton was a 2015 first-round pick by the Cleveland Browns out of Washington, where he spent 3 years in Cleveland before spending at least a couple of years each with the Patriots, Lions, and Giants. Former Georgia running back Lars Tate died this past Monday at the age of 56 after a battle with stage 3 throat cancer. His diagnosis came last month and was to begin chemo this very week. Tate’s History Tate played for the Bulldogs from 1984 to 1987. He racked up 36 total touchdowns for the Dawgs in a 4-year career, totaling just over 3000 rushing yards during that time. He also helped Georgia establish itself as RBU, making the school well-known among others for its production of star running backs. Tate’s 3,017 total rushing yards are 6th-most in school history.…

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed veteran defensive end Carlos Dunlap to an $8 million dollar deal in their quest to find a solid pass rusher for the 2022 season. The Georgia Bulldogs spent $80 million to upgrade their football facility after spending $90 million on stadium upgrades in 2020. The Georgia Rundown Half of the $80 million came from the team’s budget while $40 million came from donations from private parties.
