The Miami Hurricanes needed a win on Saturday to have a spot in the ACC Championship Game against the SMU Mustangs. Miami had a 21-0 lead against the Syracuse Orange and it appeared as if the Hurricanes were on their way until the Orange came back and won by a final score of 42-38.
The Orange finished the regular season with a 9-3 record and the Hurricanes finished with a 10-2 record. Miami failed to reach the ACC Championship Game and the Clemson Tigers would be going instead.
Reporter Ashley Wenskoski Tweeted Out the Miami Hurricanes Mascot Asked For Her Number During the Syracuse Orange Game
There are always crazy things that go on during the sidelines sometimes during college football games. Ashley Wenskoski is a sideline reporter for CNY Central. During the game, she tweeted this out:
“Sebastian the Ibis (Miami’s mascot) just kneeled down and asked for my number mid-drive Feels like he has bigger things to worry about with his team on the ropes in the 4th quarter at the Dome…but who am I to say.”
Interestingly, the Hurricanes mascot decided to ask for her number and obviously, she didn’t give it to the mascot. It was a good try and effort by the mascot, but that was probably not the right time to do it.

Pretty sure I saw the aftermath of you getting outta there or a different scenario where it looked like he was giving the “aww come on” hands. Cringe

It is no surprise that there were going to be mixed reactions on Twitter about the way that the Miami Hurricanes mascot asked Ashley Wenskoski for her number. At the end, she had the last laugh with the Orange winning and knocking out the Hurricanes potentially from the college football playoffs.
