The Arkansas Razorbacks are reeling after a rough season in the SEC. They had one of the worst passing offenses in the SEC and only managed one win in the conference. In today’s college football landscape, this time of year sees a lot of turnover on rosters. Former three-star recruit wide receiver Sam Mbake has entered the portal.

Arkansas Razorbacks WR Sam Mbake Enters Transfer Portal
Mbake posted a goodbye on Instagram. “It was a fun time. Wish I got to show y’all more, forever grateful.” He was mostly a special teams player in his freshman season but did play some defensive back as well. The coaching staff was very excited about Mbake coming into the season but a knee injury in a closed scrimmage ended his season. He was originally dismissed from the team and then decided to ultimately enter the transfer portal. He had 31 offers coming out of high school so he will likely draw some interest.
Arkansas Rebuild
The Razorbacks are in the midst of trying to figure out how to rebuild this team. They made a questionable decision by bringing back former head coach Bobby Petrino to become the new offensive coordinator. This is an unheard-of move to not just bring back a former coach but in a lesser role. Any SEC program has no issue getting top-tier talent but they now need to make sure that the talent translates to the field.
The Arkansas Razorbacks have lost a couple of players including wide receiver Sam Mbake. It is the nature of college football and something that all teams have to figure out.
