Alabama had many staff changes this offseason when the best coach in college football history, Nick Saban, retired in January. This left the program to hire Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer as the new head coach.
Of course, when a coach leaves, other coaches also go since the new head coach brings in his staff, but one of the Crimson Tide analysts from last season is expected to return in 2024.
Alabama Is Re-Hiring John McNulty
Matt Zenitz from 247sports.com states, “Alabama is re-hiring John McNulty as an analyst.” Zenitz states that McNulty is a former offensive coordinator at Boston College and Rutgers, an ex-position coach in the NFL and places like Notre Dame, and was an analyst at Bama last year.

The Crimson Tide Are Entering A Major Season
Alabama is entering a crucial season, and many people are counting them out since Saban is no longer the coach. I think it is a good idea that DeBoer is bringing back McNulty, who was on Saban’s staff last year, so he has another guy in his ear who knows what it takes to win at Alabama and how things were run under Saban.
The Crimson Tide won’t be favorites to win the SEC, but they are going to be a team that other teams still don’t want to mess with. I still think Georiga wins the SEC, but Alabama will be right with them until the end.
