Rodgers not only revealed his current mental state about his decision on joining any particular NFL team, but also mentioned the salary that he would be ready to play for.
Rodgers has been linked to several NFL teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New York Giants and even the Cleveland Browns. There were also rumors that Rodgers was actually holding out for an offer from the Minnesota Vikings.
“I told every single one of the teams, it ain’t about the money. I said I’ll play for $10 million. Whatever. I’m open to anything and attached to nothing. Retirement could still be a possibility. Focus on personal life.” Aaron Rodgers said on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ on Thursday.

Rumors of Aaron Rodgers possibly retiring before the start of the 2025 NFL season were also spread. With his latest interview, it looks like there’s a good chance of Rodgers’ retirement also happening pretty soon. Rodgers also confessed that he aims to focus on his personal life and that his relationships with his girlfriend and others will contribute to his final decision.
Several analysts and many NFL fans have criticized Aaron Rodgers for not giving the Pittsburgh Steelers a final conclusion as to whether he will play for them in the upcoming season. Rodgers clarified this on the show, remarking that he never gave his word and that he never owed anyone any decision on the matter.

While Aaron Rodgers has still not named his next NFL team, there are many who say that the veteran quarterback will only sign with a team that is sure to win the Super Bowl. At 41 years old, Rodgers has won only one Super Bowl ring so far, and will be eager to add another piece of jewelry before officially retiring from the sport.

Rodgers played college football for Butte College and the California Golden Bears before being eventually picked up by the Green Bay Packers as the 24th pick in the first round of the 2005 NFL draft. However, his performance in the last season for the New York Jets was terrible, which led the team to let go of him last month. Since then, Rodgers has shown interest and has also been shown interest from numerous NFL teams.
