The San Francisco 49ers finally showed they were beatable on Monday night, falling to the Baltimore Ravens 33-18 on their home turf.
Ultimately, the game came down to turnovers. The Ravens didn’t give the ball up once, while the 49ers had five turnovers in the contest.
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said he believed his team was prepared for the highly-anticipated matchup, but early mistakes ended up costing them the game,
“I thought we came out hard, ready to go, offense, defense, special teams, getting the safety, moving the ball. But for that first half when you have those three turnovers and you do those things and you miss some opportunities and you’re down 16 to 12, you got not much to show for
I thought we blew a bunch of opportunities in that first half. In the second half when, that third quarter was a rough one. When we get another turnover the hundred yards in penalties. When we had that punt and the false start before it, I believe, a personal foul out of bounds. Just twice our defense had it on their side of the 50 and the third and then unraveled after that. So anytime you got five turnovers over a hundred yards in penalties, that’s how it should be.”
San Francisco 49ers DB Deommodore Lenoir Calls Odell Beckham A Diva
While Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson had a fantastic night, finishing the game with 232 passing yards, two touchdowns and another 45 yards on seven rushes, wide receiver Odell Beckham was held in check the entire night.
Beckham finished the game with just two catches for 13 yards.
San Francisco 49ers DB took to social media after the game and took a direct shot at the Ravens WR, calling him a “diva/“

It’s unclear what prompted Lenoir to lash out at Odell Beckham, but it’s only going to add more fuel to the fire if the two teams end up competing in a rematch when the Super Bowl comes around.
In his post-game media availability, Lenoir didn’t mention Beckham but praised Lamar Jackson’s performance,
“He could use his legs and he is one of the most talented QB’s in the league. I have to give him his props today, he was a great player,” Lenoir said.
When asked about the loss overall, Lenoir gave props to the Baltimore Ravens.
“It is humbling. Everybody wants to win but they came out and played hard tonight,” he said.
