The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine is over and the Texas Longhorns had several players who had stellar performances. Xavier Worthy may have stole the show when he broke the NFL Scouting Combine 40-yard dash record, but he had several other teammates who impressed and raised their stock going into next month’s 2024 NFL Draft.
There could be several Longhorns coming off the board in the first round. Let’s take a look at which Texas players brought their best to the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.
1. Xavier Worthy, WR
The Texas Longhorns’ receiver ran the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL Scouting Combine history. That definitely turned the heads of NFL talent evaluators and several NFL teams looking to upgrade at the receiver position in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Xavier Worthy solidified himself as one of the top WR prospects to keep an eye on in next month’s draft. He is without a doubt going in the first round. His world-class speed, spectacular leaping ability, and dangerous deep-threat potential to make sure of that.
2. Byron Murphy II, DT
The Texas Longhorns’ defensive tackle had an amazing showcase at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine that landed him the number one overall grade amongst all defensive tackles according to NFL.com. His strength and size were on full display, but it was his astonishing speed for his size that was the real surprise.

Byron Murphy II raised his draft stock and showed that he has both power and explosive speed off his first-step that will give opposing offensive linemen fits. His ability to disrupt in gaps and make plays in the pass rush makes him a must-have for teams looking to significantly upgrade their pass rush.
3. T’Vondre Sweat
Another DT from the Forty Acres that had an impressive showing at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. T’Vondre Sweat‘s massive size and ability to devour blocks with his power earned him the second highest overall grade amongst DTs.

There will be several teams in the 2024 NFL Draft looking to upgrade their defensive interior and T’Vondre Sweat should make most of – if not all- of their draft boards. The 2023 Big 12 DPOY has the look of a dominating run-plugger and consistent havoc creator on the defensive forefront.
4. Adonai Mitchell
The Texas Longhorn receiver guaranteed himself a first round selection with a phenomal showing at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine that saw him post the third fastest 40-yard dash and earn the fifth highest overall grade amongst WRs.

Adonai Mitchell showed that he has the speed, size, and hands to become a legitamate WR1 in the NFL. He is going to be a great pick up for any team looking for a physically complete receiver who can contribute immediately.
