The Washington Commanders are hoping the 2024 NFL Draft will be its new foundation for the future. Washington will hope that head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Adam Peters can change the culture in their first year with the franchise.
The Commanders have made many changes to the franchise this offseason. One of those was selecting quarterback Jayden Daniels with the second-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft from LSU. Daniels hopes to be the next great franchise quarterback for the Washington Commanders.
They have some other things they need to address before the start of the 2024 season. It will be interesting to see how the Commanders’ roster looks by the start of the year.
Washington Commanders Second-Round Pick Ben Sinnott Has Chance To Be Household Name Before the End of the 2024 Season
There are a lot of rookies that the Commanders will be relying on in the 2024 season. Washington hopes to build its team through the draft for years to come. With general manager Adam Peters coming from the San Francisco 49ers front office, San Francisco has built its roster through the draft. That is something Peters has learned from Jon Lynch over the years.
Bleacher Report thinks that six potential candidates could be household names before the end of the 2024 season. Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report thinks that Washington Commanders rookie tight end Ben Sinnott could be one of those players by the end of the season.
Gagnon wrote:
“Veteran Zach Ertz has earned respect after such a strong career, and the Commanders need that experience for young elements such as Ben Sinnott and quarterback Jayden Daniels to develop at their own pace. Ertz likely doesn’t have much left in him. The 33-year-old hasn’t been much of a factor since he was with the Eagles and Cardinals, and with Logan Thomas gone, there aren’t many other good options on the tight end depth chart. Sinnott put up 676 yards in 12 games last year at Kansas State, and he’s got the speed and positional versatility to be a factor in a multitude of ways right off the bat in Washington.”
Ben Sinnott was the 53rd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders. They do not have Logan Thomas on the roster anymore at the tight end position. Sinnott is currently the backup tight end on the roster for the Commanders. He will be a name to watch for as training camp and the season progresses.
