Texas is on the brink of a momentous season, having narrowly missed out on the College Football title game just three months ago. The stakes are high, and the expectations even higher as Texas gears up for a challenging start to their season.
Texas Will Take On Michigan This Season
If the Longhorns had beaten Washington in the College Football Playoff, they would’ve played Michigan in the title game. It would have been a fantastic game. Even though we didn’t get the game last season, we will be getting the game this season.
Texas will head to Ann Arbor in Week Two to take on the defending champs. We have known this information for quite a while since schedules were set a few years prior, but we didn’t know what time the game would be, and we finally found out that information.
The Game Will Be On Big Noon Kickoff
It was announced on Saturday that Texas and Michigan would play the Big Noon Kickoff game on Fox in Week Two. Big Noon Kickoff has been home to some of the best college football games the past few years, and one Texas was in two seasons ago when they hosted Alabama, and Bryce Young put Alabama on his back and won the game.

Many Longhorn Fans Weren’t With The Start Time
Many fans don’t love the noon game for a big-time game; many fans love it when a big game is at 3:30 ET or in primetime. Many Longhorn fans weren’t happy about this start time and went to X to show their feelings.
Leave it to @FOXSports to put a marquee matchup at the dreaded Big Noon time. 🤦🏻♂️

I’m sure Longhorn fans will get it over the start time if they win the game, but I understand where they are coming from. It used to be that the best game in the sport was past 3:00 ET on a Saturday.
