The Philadelphia Eagles will have high expectations entering the 2024 NFL season and this will be Nick Sirianni’s fourth season as NFL head coach. Philadelphia has embraced the Super Bowl or bust expectations for nearly the last decade and beyond. They only have one Super Bowl title in franchise history back during the 2017 season against the New England Patriots.
Philadelphia was in the Super Bowl two seasons ago against the Kansas City Chiefs but lost that game. This season, the Philadelphia Eagles will look to win the NFC East title once again with a lot of talent back on paper.

General manager Howie Roseman made several moves this offseason. They tried to fix the secondary through the NFL Draft and also signed running back Saquon Barkley.

Pro Football Focus writer Bradley Locker believes that the Philadelphia Eagles are one of seven teams in the NFL this season who will need to perform this season. Philadelphia started 10-1 last season and they only finished with an 11-6 record. Locker said:
“After making it to Super Bowl 57, the Eagles delivered an encore that certainly wouldn’t have won an Oscar. The team started a near-perfect 10-1 but imploded down the stretch, dropping six of its last seven, including an ugly wild-card loss to the Buccaneers.
Philly’s defense was a black hole for much of the year, ranking 28th in PFF coverage grade. Consequently, general manager Howie Roseman drafted defensive backs Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean with his top two selections. Beyond that, the Eagles hired revered defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, replacing the makeshift tandem of Sean Desai and Matt Patricia.
The team’s offense was also regularly a mess down the stretch, with five of its seven lowest-graded overall offensive showings coming in Week 13 or later. As a result, Philadelphia swapped Brian Johnson for the well-traveled but young Kellen Moore.
In the beginning of the post-Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox days, will the Eagles return to their magnificent 2022 form, or will Nick Sirianni — one of the more polarizing coaches in the league — get the boot? What happens in Philadelphia this fall will be a focal point for this NFL season and beyond.”
Losing Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox inside the Eagles locker room is going to hurt this team big time. They will be missed, but this won’t define the Philadelphia Eagles this season because they have talent on both sides of the ball.
The biggest question this year will be the coaching of Nick Sirianni. Is he going to grow up and not be a fool and act childish or was the end of last season a sign of things to come for the franchise? If what happened at the end of last year is a sign of things to come, Nick Sirianni won’t survive after this season and neither may general manager Howie Roseman.

This comes after the Philadelphia Eagles changed coordinators this offseason. Kellen Moore will be the offensive coordinator and Vic Fangio will be the defensive coordinator. Another thing that rides on this season is quarterback Jalen Hurts. Will he bounce back or continue to regress? Time will tell with his play.
