The Kansas City Chiefs and head coach Andy Reid are entering 2024 with the chance to compete for their third-straight Super Bowl title and fourth in five seasons.
After it took 21 seasons for Reid to finally capture a Super Bowl title, Reid is seeking his third-straight Super Bowl to continue the almost unstoppable run since the franchise landed Patrick Mahomes as its starting QB. Reid is just the fourth coach to make five Super Bowl appearances, a third Super Bowl title would put Reid with Bill Belichick, Chuck Noll, Bill Walsh and Joe Gibbs as the only head coaches to win at least three Super Bowl titles.
Reid has never had a losing season with Kansas City in his 11 seasons, and has double-digit win seasons in each of the last 10 years. During that stretch, Reid has eight straight AFC West championships, six straight conference championship appearances, four AFC Championships and two Super Bowl titles. The Chiefs are just the third team in NFL history to make four Super Bowls in a five-season span, joining the 1990-1993 Buffalo Bills and the 2014-2018 New England Patriots.

The Kansas City Chiefs are 128-51 (.715 win percentage) in Andy Reid’s 11 seasons, as Reid has 15 playoff wins with the franchise. He is the only head coach in NFL history to win 100 games with two different franchises and the only head coach to win 10 playoff games with two different franchises. He also has taken the Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles to four consecutive conference championship games, the only coach ever to accomplish the feat for two organizations.
Reid was granted a contract extension in the offseason and as long as Mahomes is under center, it feels like the Chiefs will be the team to beat in the NFL. Still, with so much money slotted to the top QB in the NFL — and a major offseason deal on defense this offseason to lock down Chris Jones — it’s been impossible to keep the team in tact season after season, yet Reid still finds a way to make Super Bowl runs, year after year.
Heading into 2024, the Chiefs will be competing for their third-straight Super Bowl, but on Thursday night, they got to celebrate last season’s victory in a major way.

For the third time in five years, the Chiefs have gone home with Super Bowl rings.
The franchise held one final celebration before chasing the NFL’s elusive three-peat. The team received the rings at a private ceremony Thursday at the Nelson-Atkins Museum in Kansas City.
It includes 529 diamonds and 38 rubies.
“Earning back-to-back Super Bowl championships is an incredibly difficult and rare feat. It helps define legacies for franchises, coaches, players, and is a testament to the commitment and dedication that is required from everyone in the organization,” Chiefs President Mark Donovan said on Thursday. “We have long trusted Jostens to help share the stories of our championship seasons through their beautiful ring designs, and this year is no different. This incredible piece of wearable art is a true symbol of the journey that the team took to secure the franchise’s fourth Lombardi Trophy, and we couldn’t be prouder to represent Chiefs Kingdom as champions once again.”
