Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is one of the most vocal players in the entire NFL. According to Spotrac, Parsons has a club option for the 2025 season and will be an unrestricted free agent after the 2025 season.
Parsons will need a new contract from the Dallas Cowboys soon. He is 25 years old and was the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Penn State. Micah Parsons is the best defensive player on the Cowboys roster. Not only does he need a new contract, but quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb do as well.

Last season, Parsons recorded 64 tackles, 14 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two pass deflections. Parsons is entering the prime of his NFL career. He is one of those defensive players who can line up all over the field and make an impact. One of the most respectable things about him is he has a podcast and always respects the other players on the opposing teams.
He once praised Myles Garrett, the Cleveland Browns defensive end, who was ranked second in the Top 100 NFL list. Garrett was the Defensive Player of the Year last season in the NFL. There was one point where one could argue that Parsons deserved to win the award.
CBS Sports Pete Frisco Has Dallas Cowboys Linebacker Micah Parsons Ranked In the Top 10 Entering the 2024 NFL Season
It may not be a surprise to see him ranked as one of the top 10 players in the NFL. What is a surprise is that he is only ranked as the ninth-best player in the NFL entering the 2024 season, according to Pete Frisco of CBS Sports.
Frisco said about Micah Parsons:
“He has 40 1/2 sacks in three seasons, including 14 last season, to put him in the conversation as best rusher in the game. He has moved around a lot in his three seasons with the Cowboys, but he is best when rushing the passer off the edge.”
It is a nightmare when Parsons and Demarcus Lawrence get after the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. Dan Quinn is no longer the defensive coordinator because he took the Washington Commanders head coaching job. Mike Zimmer will be the defensive coordinator for the Cowboys this season and they should be fine with him running the defense.

The only other linebacker who is ranked ahead of Parsons on this list is Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt, who is ranked fifth on the Top 100 list. There could be an argument for Micah Parsons being ranked higher than nine.

We will see how he performs during the 2024 season for the Cowboys. Dallas has several players who made the Top 100 list entering the 2024 NFL season. They will have high expectations once again this season.
