The Florida Gators 2024-2025 national championship basketball team was honored at the White House on Wednesday afternoon and President Donald J. Trump and Gators head coach Todd Golden spoke at the ceremony. One of the biggest surprises at the White House on Wednesday was former Gators legendary quarterback Tim Tebow being at the White House.

Trump invited Tebow to the ceremony and this does not feel like a surprise, but it felt like a surprise to some. Despite Trump talking about the Gators basketball team winning the national title in 2024-2025, he also had some words to say about the legendary quarterback during the championship ceremony.
President Donald J. Trump Glows About Florida Gators Quarterback Tim Tebow

Tebow was a Heisman finalist three times in his collegiate career and also won two national titles with the Gators. Florida is the only school that has at least three titles in football and also in basketball. When Trump was talking about the Gators basketball team, he could not help himself but also talk about Tebow.
Trump said about Tebow,
“You did damn well in the pros, despite being on the Jets.”
He was drafted in 2010 by the Denver Broncos 25th overall. Tebow also played for the New York Jets and the New England Patriots. Also, Trump continued about how he is a winner and also terrific guy. Trump added,
“Nobody did that. He goes down as one of the greatest college football players. We can only base that on results, right Tim?”
There is no doubt that Tebow is one of the greatest college football players of all-time. He is one of the Gators legends of this generation along with point guard Walter Clayton Jr. Florida basketball knows they have a long way to go if they want to get back to the White House next year. However, Tebow being there to support the Gators was not surprising at all.
