Donald J. Trump Talks About the Ohio State Buckeyes Adversity

Trump talked about the Buckeyes achievements when visiting the White House on Monday. He said,
“Today it is my great honor to welcome the 2024 College Football National Champions the Ohio State University Buckeyes. This team showed the world that the road to greatness is paved by hard work, sweat, and often a great deal of adversity. It’s a proud day for all of us, but it’s a proud day for the Scarlet and Gray. You guys are a very special group from a special state.”
Vice President J.D. Vance, who was a Buckeyes alum also said,
“You represented the state of Ohio well, you represented the whole country well.”
This was a very proud moment for Vance. Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day also said at the podium out of the White House,
“On behalf of the Ohio State University, thank you for inviting the national championship Ohio State Buckeyes to the White House this afternoon. We’re honored and humbled to be here celebrating with you our ninth national championship in our great university’s history. And Mr. President thank you again for this incredible honor. God bless America and go Bucks.”
The Buckeyes finished with a 10-2 record during the regular season before winning four straight games to capture its first national title since the 2014 season. This past season, Ohio State defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. In 2014, they beat the Oregon Ducks.
The 2024 team faced adversity after they lost to the Michigan Wolverines 13-10, for the fourth consecutive season. There were Buckeyes fans who were calling for Day’s job, but he rallied his troops, and they went on a run. With them winning it all, they were able to get to the White House and see Donald Trump honor them for winning it all.
