Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen continued his 2022 MVP showcase with a 41-7 blowout of the Tennessee Titans. The Bills improve to 2-0 on the season, tying the Miami Dolphins for first place in the AFC East Division. Having both the Rams and Titans under his belt, Allen looks to be unstoppable at this point. The season may be far from over, but Allen may already have this year’s MVP trophy in the bag:

Josh Allen began his MVP showcase with a 31-10 victory over the Rams

Allen began his 2022 campaign the same way his 2021 season ended: with a touchdown pass to Gabe Davis. Allen finished the game with 26 completions, throwing for 297 passing yards and three touchdown passes in the process. He added a rushing score on 56 yards on the ground.

In last night’s romping, Allen again completed 26 passes — only this time, he threw for 317 yards and four touchdowns (three to Stefon Diggs). Due to the score margin, Allen was taken out in the final seconds of the third quarter and backup Case Keenum took over for the rest of the game.

After Week Two, Allen is in the top four in passing yards (614), passing completion percentage (75.4%), and passing touchdowns (seven) —sitting in fourth, third, and first, respectively. He also leads the league in total touchdowns with eight. So far, the only blemishes on his otherwise flawless season are his two interceptions (both against the Rams) and three sacks — two of them he took in Los Angeles.

The Bills remaining opponents include the Dolphins and Patriots (twice each), the Ravens, Steelers, and Browns. The Dolphins and Ravens’ defenses have struggled after two games, currently sitting in the bottom half in both passing yards and points allowed. His toughest assignments, however, will be against the Chiefs and Packers.

Allen yearns for revenge against Patrick Mahomes for eliminating the Bills in the last two playoffs tournaments. As for the Packers, their defense has allowed the fourth-fewest passing yards with 317. On top of allowing 33 points, it will be interesting to see how this showdown plays out, considering Allen’s ability to deceive th defensive side. Playing against two title contenders will be the main factor in Josh Allen’s quest for his first MVP award.
