The NFL announced their Player of the Week winners on Wednesday after an epic slate of games in Week 13. San Francisco 49ers star receiver Deebo Samuel earned the honors in the NFC after scoring three times against the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday. Meanwhile, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning, who is playing for the injured Joe Burrow, earned the award in the AFC after a stellar showing on Monday Night Football.

Samuel took home NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors twice in 2021, the same season he earned a spot on the All-Pro team. Meanwhile, longtime backup quarterback and journeyman Jake Browning earned the award on Wednesday for the first time in his career.
San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel: Scores Trice in Week 13
Deebo Samuel shined in Sunday’s epic clash against the then-one-loss Philadelphia Eagles. The South Carolina product caught all four targets for 116 yards and two scores in his team’s 42-19 road victory. He also ran the ball three times for 22 yards and a touchdown. Samuel’s second touchdown of the third quarter was arguably his most impressive, breaking a tackle at midfield before flashing his elite speed by beating multiple Philadephia defenders to the endzone.
Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love and Seattle wide receiver DK Metcalf also had stellar performances in Week 13. Love threw for 267 yards and three scores in a shocking 27-19 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, while Metcalf posted a hat trick against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. The six-foot-four wideout finished the night with six catches for 134 yards and three touchdowns.

Cincinnati Bengals QB Jake Browning: Wins AFC Offensive Player of the Week in Second Start of 2023
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning earned Offensive Player of the Week honors in the AFC. In his second start of the season, the 27-year-old went 32-of-37 for 354 yards and a touchdown. He also added 22 yards and a score on the ground. Browning’s clutch performance led to a Bengals’ overtime win and, more importantly, kept the team’s postseason hopes alive. Cincinnati will host the Indianapolis Colts in Week 14.
Meanwhile, wide receivers Nico Collins and Tyreek Hill played well enough last Sunday to earn POTW recognition. Collins went bonkers in Houston’s win over Denver in Week 13, snagging nine passes for 191 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Hill posted another stellar performance during his historic 2023 campaign. The speedster registered five receptions for 157 yards and two touchdowns in his team’s 45-15 win over the Washington Commanders. Hill had touchdowns of 78 yards and 60 yards, respectively.
