Von Miller is in the process of recovering from an ACL injury. He seems to be targeting week 1 to make his return but the team will most likely be cautious with the veteran. The Buffalo Bills need Miller this season if they are going to usurp the Chiefs in the AFC. One matchup that Miller has circled on the calendar is a week 10 game against his former team, the Denver Broncos. Miller is already looking forward to the matchup and called out the starting tackles in a recent interview.
Von Miller Calls Out Denver Broncos Tackles
There will definitely be some mixed feelings during the Monday night matchup but Miller knows what he needs to do. He named dropped the tackles in a recent quote.
“I’ll be ready for that, I’ll be ready for that for sure” Miller said “(Mike) McGlinchey, Garett Bolles — both of these guys are my guys. I’ll be ready for those guys, 100%.”
To say the Broncos struggled last year is an understatement. They are more than likely going to improve and Miller knows that the offensive line is slated to be better. If the Bills are going to challenge the Chiefs, they need every win they can get.
Expectations For The Bills
The Bills had a great season last year despite an early playoff exit. The defense however did struggle down the stretch. A big part of that was the absence of Miller. Once he was gone, the pass rush lacked any real teeth and opposing quarterbacks had much more time to make decisions. The Bills can trust that Josh Allen and the offense are going to put up points. The question is whether they can stop anyone. Having a force like Miller on the edge all season certainly would help.
Von Miller is looking forward to his matchup with the Denver Broncos this season. It is always emotional when a former player comes back and I’m sure Denver will roll out the red carpet for a player that brought them a Super Bowl.
