Aaron Glenn has received much appreciation from former Jets star Victor Green for his head coach position.

Aaron Gleen might just be the next head coach for the New York Jets after Victor Green’s endorsement. The Former Jets safety has given his suggestion to the team for their new head coach. The Jets are on the hunt for a new coach and are expected to finalize soon among the four candidates.

Glenn is one of the four candidates. Ron Rivera, the former head coach of the Washington Commanders, Rex Ryan, the ex-head coach of the Jets, and former Titans head coach Mike Vrabel are the other three candidates.

Glenn is expected to be one of those candidates to secure the job this year, and Green believes he’s the right person. The former star took to social media to post a video of Aaron Glenn discussing a few coaching tips.

“This needs to be our coach. He is so real and right. A lot of coaches don’t have this mentality. I can speak to that firsthand. Hire the man. I may come out of retirement,” Green said via X.

Green has been inspired by Glenn, and the Jets might just take his recommendation. The Jets had a disappointing run after winning only five games this season. Glenn could be the change that will help them perform better next season.

Aaron Glenn Turns Down Interview With The Patriots

The Jets are not the only team looking for a head coach. Several teams, including the New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears, and the Las Vegas Raiders, are the others looking for a new head coach. Among these, the Patriots have requested an interview with Glenn.

Surprisingly, he turned them down as they also requested to interview the team’s offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson. Glenn has not revealed the reason why he turned down the interview with New England. However, it’s clear that he does not want to be on the team.

The Patriots will look to other options and are predicted to finish up with Mike Vrabel. The Patriots have complied with the Rooney Rule in the NFL policy by interviewing two minority players. Many speculate that Aaron Glenn refused to interview two minority candidates in person.

Glenn is sure to land a job the way things are going. That said, the Jets have a strong chance to select him as their head coach over the other candidates. If the Jets retain Aaron Rodgers, Glenn, and the Quarterback could do wonders with the team.
